- Roles are used to define access, once created they are assigned to a user and that user only has access to what is defined in the role. To set these up, select "Master Company Settings" from the navigation panel on the left.
- Then select, "Roles & Permissions". There are two types of roles, system roles and other roles.
- System roles, have a function behind them and cannot be deleted. For example, if an admin user is assigned as a supervisor they can be assigned to a worksite and receive notifications about employees who are late or do not punch in.
- Other roles, are dynamic roles you can add, edit, and delete as you see fit. The role assigned to someone determines what they have access to in the system and what they can or cannot do. To see what permissions a user has, press the button under the permission column that coordinates with the selected role.
- This will show you everything that this role has access to and you as the admin user can determine what they can and cannot do by pressing the status button next to the action or access permission.
