The ‘Running Late for Shift’ button is a default feature within the mobile application and cannot be removed from the employee interface. However, its functionality is entirely dependent on the system configurations established within your environment.
To ensure that supervisors are notified when an employee uses this feature, the following conditions must be met:
1. Configure Roles and Permissions
-
Navigate to Master Company Settings > Roles and Permissions.
-
Under Supervisor Role Assignments, ensure that:
-
The supervisor is assigned the Dispatch Manager Corporate & the Supervisor roles are enabled.
- This roles must be applied to the employees profile in order for notifications to be recieved.
-
2. Set Up Notification Preferences
-
Go to Master Company Settings > Shift Management > General Settings > Running Late Shift.
-
Ensure the desired notification channels—email, app, and/or SMS—are enabled.
-
Verify that each supervisor's email address and phone number are correctly entered in their user profile to ensure successful message delivery.
3. Assign Supervisors to Post Locations
-
Each post location must have the correct supervisor assigned under its Staffing Information.
-
Only assigned supervisors will receive the notification alerts triggered by this feature.
Notification Delivery
Once the above configurations are properly in place, supervisors will receive notifications via the selected channels (email, app, or SMS) whenever an employee selects the ‘Running Late for Shift’ button.
Disabling the Feature (Functionally)
Although the button will remain visible in the employee interface, you can render it non-functional by adjusting or removing the associated configurations:
-
Remove the Dispatch Manager Corporate and Supervisor roles from the user profiles.
-
Disable or clear the Running Late Shift notification settings under Shift Management.
-
Unassign supervisors from the relevant post locations.
When these changes are implemented, selecting the button will no longer trigger any notifications or actions within the system. It will remain present in the interface but will not perform any function.
