Setting up an NFC tag in the StaffWizard Post Location mobile app is a straightforward process designed to ensure guards can quickly and easily verify their location during shifts. By following a few simple steps within the app, users can create NFC checkpoints tied to specific clients and post locations, with options for added verification such as requiring a photo or additional prompts.
To set up an NFC tag on the mobile app, open the "StaffWizard Post Location" app, log in, and then tap the gear icon at the top left corner of the screen, where you would enter your password.
After entering your password, tap the blue "Setup CheckPoint" button located at the bottom of the screen.
Clicking the "Setup CheckPoint" button will take you to the Setup New Checkpoint page, where you'll see the following fields:
-
Select Account: Choose the client that the NFC tag will be associated with.
-
Select Post Location: Choose the post location where the NFC tag will be assigned.
Next, you can choose whether to create a GPS Checkpoint or an NFC Checkpoint.
Additional options include:
-
Open For All Posts: Allows any staff member, even if not scheduled at that post, to scan the NFC tag.
-
Request a Photo at the Checkpoint?: Requires a photo to be taken when a guard scans the NFC tag.
-
Add Verification: When enabled, you can add a Yes/No question or a fill-in-the-blank prompt to confirm the checkpoint.
Once all settings have been configured, click Continue to save your changes.
The app will now guide you through the setup process step by step. Click Next to proceed through each stage:
-
Step 1: Provides an overview of what NFC stands for and how it works.
-
Step 2: Enter a name for the checkpoint.
-
Step 3: Explains how to configure the NFC tag. Tap the "Write" button to begin scanning the NFC tag. Follow the instructions on this step, and once completed successfully, you will receive a notification confirming that the checkpoint has been updated.
-
Step 4: Confirms that the NFC tag has been successfully created. Click Complete to finish the setup process.
The checkpoint will now be saved under the client’s profile. To view it, go to "GPS+ Form Setting", then select "Check Point." The newly created NFC checkpoint will appear at the top of the list.
